8/1/08 - Impossible Is Nothing With GodThis is a featured page

Darn. I have a **** AP Global quiz today. Eh. I feel bad I haven't studied but I didn't really care to because I always do bad. Maybe I should study during lunch. Go up to the library and read the textbook or something. Forget it, I wouldn't study earlier, I'm not going to study now. It's like...punishment. Yea, punishment to go eat lunch instead.
I reached my locker and wanted to get my lunch and eat as quickly as possible. I was starving. But today, God had a different plan for me. It seemed like my locker wouldn't open.
That's freaky. I put the same locker combo in. That's just...impossible. Maybe God's trying to tell me to study. Argh. Fine. I'll study. There, God. You happy?
I put in my locker combo in again and it worked this time. Plenty of times before it didn't but now it did. Strange. I took my textbook and left to the library to study.

You know, every christian is familiar with the phrase 'Nothing is impossible with God' but here I want to shed some light on a different version - 'Impossible is nothing with God'. To help understand this further, we'll call the original version "phrase 1" and the different version "phrase 2".

You're probably thinking there's no difference but our view of each phrase is different. For example, if you had a math test tomorrow, you might pray to do well on the test. That's the understanding of phrase 1. However, if you prayed that you would know the whole subject better for tomorrow's test and future ones, then you're understanding phrase 2. Sure its just a mixed up version of the first phrase but it allows us to look at the grand scheme of things. Instead of thinking of one thing that is going to happen, we can think of the greater effect on us. That's what God wants us to realize.

How many times have you said to yourself that doing one little thing wouldn't change anything? Well, you
are wrong. I believe that every little thing, no matter how small, can make a difference. This also ties in with symbolism. Sometimes people don't see God's calling but its because he works in many ways. The little things that happen around us could be an example. For example, I think dreams are one way God likes to talk to people. It's understandable since God's done it in the Bible. I try and analyze my dream and see where God wants me to go. Even smaller things like losing something or noticing something new could be a big sign to realize what God's trying to say. Before reading, you might've thought this whole page was long and wondered how you would read it or perhaps how long it took me to type it all up (not long by the way). If you did, maybe that's a sign for you to read more about the Lord and not to be tired of hearing of him. Giving your own testimony is just as good.

I just want to end with a quote from Evan Almighty (the movie).
"Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"

some times i just knew why things happened for a reason and if god did have anything to do with it
sometimes its the best news ever other times i dont know what im in for i just wish
everyone can hear someone out there and be god for a day like doctors ,and take care of eachother. God would want everyone to get along with eachother so why is there so much greif misuderstanding and violence in this world? why do children across worlds have to cry and hear gun shots? what exactly is gods plan? belief is a strong thing that many christians face as a big burden in questioning faith. as gods people we must be careful at the way we look at things and rethink what makes everything point to god...
