I have a **** AP Global quiz today. Eh. I feel bad I haven't studied but I didn't really care to because I always do bad. Maybe I should study during lunch. Go up to the library and read the textbook or something. Forget it, I wouldn't study earlier, I'm not going to study now. It's like...punishment. Yea, punishment to go eat lunch instead.
I reached my locker and wanted to get my lunch and eat as quickly as possible. I was starving. But today, God had a different plan for me. It seemed like my locker wouldn't open.
That's freaky. I put the same locker combo in. That's just...impossible. Maybe God's trying to tell me to study. Argh. Fine. I'll study. There, God. You happy?
I put in my locker combo in again and it worked this time. Plenty of times before it didn't but now it did. Strange. I took my textbook and left to the library to study.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know, every christian is familiar with the phrase 'Nothing is impossible with God' but here I want to shed some light on a different version - 'Impossible is nothing with God'. To help understand this further, we'll call the original version "phrase 1" and the different version "phrase 2".

You're probably thinking there's no difference but our view of each phrase is different. For example, if you had a math test tomorrow, you might pray to do well on the test. That's the understanding of phrase 1. However, if you prayed that you would know the whole subject better for tomorrow's test and future ones, then you're understanding phrase 2. Sure its just a mixed up version of the first phrase but it allows us to look at the grand scheme of things. Instead of thinking of one thing that is going to happen, we can think of the greater effect on us. That's what God wants us to realize.

How many times have you said to yourself that doing one little thing wouldn't change anything? Well, you
are wrong. I believe that every little thing, no matter how small, can make a difference. This also ties in with symbolism. Sometimes people don't see God's calling but its because he works in many ways. The little things that happen around us could be an example. For example, I think dreams are one way God likes to talk to people. It's understandable since God's done it in the Bible. I try and analyze my dream and see where God wants me to go. Even smaller things like losing something or noticing something new could be a big sign to realize what God's trying to say. Before reading, you might've thought this whole page was long and wondered how you would read it or perhaps how long it took me to type it all up (not long by the way). If you did, maybe that's a sign for you to read more about the Lord and not to be tired of hearing of him. Giving your own testimony is just as good.

I just want to end with a quote from Evan Almighty (the movie).
"Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"

-----Invader05

10/3/08 - Why Fear When God's Here?

 			-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*POSTPONED*
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9/26/08 - The Greatest In Heaven

 			-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*POSTPONED*
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Announcement! 9/5/08 - Guest?
Hey guys! This message name came to me while I was in church listening to the choir singing. I was singing too, but while singing this song, I realized that it is kind of deep. Think about it. The first stanza talks about a blind man.
How can he see light?

We ask for many things each day. We say "gimme this" and "gimme that" and complain when it's not given immediately. A lot of times this is done with our relationships with God. Yet, we don't realize that God helps us in his own way. He places things in our lives to get us to our goal. What we want most of the time, is light.

When it comes to knowing God, many people are blind. They just can't see him and call out for various things. All of those things lead to one common need. Light. Without light, we can't see what's ahead of us. Whether people know it or not, they are all reaching out trying to find the light. Some people come across annoying problems. Some come across life-or-death situations. Some might even come across people that contradict your beliefs. All of these situations make you want to ask for light. Light helps us get out of the situation and bring us back on the road.

Even when you reach something good, you may ask for light. You may want to see further ahead to see if you can do better. God always hears your cries but it may take some time. Things are planned his way. So, lets all see the light in our lives. Once we see, we would hate to go blind again. Help light spread like wildfire to light up the world.

"Whenever you see darkness, there is extraordinary opportunity for the light to burn brighter."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think the picture is self-explanatory on what I would like to talk about in this message.
When 9/11 comes up, sometimes in the back of your head, you may think that it was mentioned a lot already. Sure, you may get sick of people mentioning it and even when they link it to a time where we need God. Many people think that 9/11 is but a drop of water in the ocean of deaths that have occurred by tragedies. Technically, its not even that major of an event - many other terrible events happened in history, why make a big deal of this one?

J. F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Sure, there were other assassinations before but this one made a big hit on Americans. Ask your teacher about the Kennedy assassination and they'll tell you everything and even what they were doing on that day. The same is for us (or should be). I remember what I was doing on 9/11 and its only because of its great importance. It's a day that taught me a valuable lesson - Living everyday on Earth wasn't the guarantee in the contract.

I once heard a sermon on a radio station one Sunday morning. The preacher said that we shouldn't expect to be able to stand tomorrow because we can't guarantee ourselves that we can stand the next second. If God gives us the ability to stand, what makes us think we have the right to say we'll live on till we're old?

Now, I'm not saying you should think you'll die the next second. Just acknowledge that its not guaranteed. Every time I think about something that will happen soon, I think about all the little details. Yet, 99% of the time, it doesn't go the way I thought. That's the thing. We don't know what will happen to our lives. God does. We have to act like each day is our last. Now the real question is, what would we do if we were to die tomorrow?

One of my Sunday School teachers once brought that question up to us as a group and gave us each 10 seconds to answer it. So we went around the group and each one went on about how they'd do something special or go to church or tell people what they really thought of them and yatta, yatta, yatta.
After this little exercise, he asked us a question that changed me.
"So each of you are saying that on the last day of your life, you wouldn't even change someone else? Are you telling me that you know no one that you can make into a believer of Christ to save them?"

Then, it hit me. Everyday, we go on and on about what we'll do in the future. Why make a big fuss if you don't know 100% that it'll happen? Randy Pausch, before passing away, was asked along with many other professors to write your 'last lecture'. That is, the lecture you would give if you knew you were going to die soon. The thing is, Randy was already familiar with this since he was going to die already. He wrote a book called The Last Lecture which displays his last lecture. It was about childhood dreams and in it, he explained that you should hold onto dreams but also help enabling the dreams of others.

Everyone wants to be saved but some people are just still lost in what being 'saved' really means. We have to show them the true definition - Jesus Christ. Tomorrow may be our last day or maybe, even today. Why not make a difference in someone's life?

"I can't predict the future, I can't change the past,
I have just the present moments to treat as my last."

-----Invader05

9/5/08 - Choosing The Right Answer

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imagine this.
You are sitting at an interview and really want to make a good impression. You're wearing your nicest clothes, giving your best manners, and showing off the great skills you have. Now it's time for the questions.
Let's say you are trying to work for a big-shot TV channel or something. The manager now asks a simple question.

"What example from television is a good example of a hero to you?"
Good question but you got this quickly. You immediately give an answer before even thinking about it.

"Well Dora the explorer once saved a unicorn."
"Huh?"
"Yea, and she even became a princess and saved the world. She's so awesome. I love her."
"..."

... = bad. You don't want them to be speechless...
Now when you think about it, couldn't you have given a better answer?
Surely, there's a better TV show out there.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God's always around us and expecting us to do certain things. He places problems and obstacles in our life so that we can answer it the way he wants us to. A lot of times, we give the wrong answer.

Think about the weird/dumb hypothetical scene I mentioned. Sure you may laugh and/or feel bad for the loser but we're no different. Sometimes we have that gut feeling to do something and we don't. Then, we regret not doing it. We got to try and make God's wants in our impulses. Remember, regrets are made only to things we didn't do. I'm not saying to do everything that you feel like doing. Rather, we have to choose the best answer out of the choices and present it to God.

We're always being focused by God. God wants to see what we do in certain situations. He wants us to follow His Word and show it in our actions. Pretty tough, right? Especially since we follow our conscience most of the time and not the Holy Spirit.

Hmm? You're confused? Well, you heard right. Our conscience may be something that tells us what's right and what's wrong but that doesn't mean our conscience is right. I can start stealing money from banks in order to buy food for my family. That may seem right to me but it isn't right to God. That's why He gave us the Holy Spirit. This way, we know what is right or wrong to God. Then, we can start to impress him.

Look at the Parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30). The owner of a place gave money (talents) to three workers to see what they would do. The third worker gained nothing and the owner was angry at him. In the same way, we have to use what God gives us. Instead of holding onto these Christian values, God wants us to use his Word to the things that we see in our day-to-day lives.

We shouldn't hide anything or give an answer based on gut feeling. We have to base everything on the Bible and be able to say the things He wants us to say. When problems are put in our lives, let's impress the Father by choosing the right answer.

"You may know the right answer and all, but until you put it down, you're not getting the question right."

-----Invader05

Walk The Christian Walk - Home Page

Hey! I'm Invader05 and I will be writing up some messages on this site.
Basically, I'm just trying to spread out some Christian aspects in what people do everyday and teach some values. Read and spread it to others. Of course, I don't know everything but I try and understand as best as I can.
Through this website, many people, including myself, will hopefully learn more about the Bible.

Please Join! I would really like it if you join this site. There's a "Join Now" button at the top. I would like to have a member rather than an invisible guest.

New page every Friday! To start, look at the navigation on the side. Under Home, there is the newest page. After that there are poems that I have written and archives of older pages. Feel free to view them and comment as much as you like. Please be clean and appropriate.

Send me some Feedback! After joining, you can comment on any page. Or at least send me a message and tell me what you think. I would love the feedback!

Take care and God bless.

-----Invader05

<font face="Arial" Swat! went his huge paw upon one the little creatures.
"Please," said the mouse, "let me go and I'll come back and help you someday." The lion laughed, "You are so small! How could ever help me?" While the lion was laughing, the mouse ran away.
The next day, the lion became trapped in a hunter's net. His roars made the whole forest tremble. The little mouse whose life was spared approached the lion in the snare and used his sharp little teeth to gnaw the strong ropes until the lion was free.
The lion turned to the mouse and said, "Dear friend, I was foolish to ridicule you for being small. You helped me by saving my life after all!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yea, yea, yea. That story is so kiddish and so 10 years ago. But it still teaches us a lesson. A lot of times we make excuses for things. Especially with God. Sometimes God shows us a sign but we say we just can't do it. But why?

I'm sure you've heard plenty of times that you should use what God gives you to help spread God's word. People have said that no matter what job you have, you could help spread the good news. Many of you probably went against it and said "Well, what could I do if I'm a math teacher or a science teacher or something?"
Well, you could be a poet and write a poem and stuff but think about it, thats not the only thing you could do. Since when did our job become who we fully are?

If God called on you to go and do something for him, are you going to say "I can't, I'm just a student"? When God calls on us, isn't there something we all have in common? We're all Christians. (Not everyone, but rather the people that hear his call.) Now, does that sound like a good excuse?
God: "Go forth and spread the good news."
You: "I can't, I'm just a Christian..."
Yea, I didn't think so.

Being Christians can give us so much power. Because we all believe in God, there is nothing we can't do. All we have to do is trust God and do what he wants us to do. His power and guidance will follow us wherever we go. Why make excuses when we can just do it? Most of the time, he doesn't even ask for much and it doesn't even take long.

Think about the Lion and the Mouse story. It's such a kid story, yet it has a big lesson that we all aren't willing to learn. No matter how small you are, you can do big things. It's about time we learn and start doing what God wants us to do instead of making a lame excuse.

"Excuses are the nails used to build a house of failure."

-----Invader05

Poems

In this section, you can read my Christian poems. Let me help clear the confusion. If something tragic happened in China right now, Americans would say 'Why did it have to happen to them, why not us?' "
I spoke up. "Well, that could be said the other way around. If it happened here, Chinese people would be like 'Why them, why not us?' It's a confusing world." Everyone brought out a little laugh.
"That's the thing. God makes things happen for a reason and yet we question his plans all the time. Why can't we just let his plan be done and go to him for help to see what else is in store for us? Why can't we just accept what happens?"
"Are you asking me?"
"Yea."
"Why me? Why not him?" *points to classmate*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We've all pointed fingers at least once in our lifetime and without a doubt, it felt good. Don't lie to me. You know you've done it. When you had to do something you wish your brother or sister would do it instead. (If you're an only child, I'm sure you wished you had an adopted brother at times.)

One of the big times we like to point fingers at someone else is when God puts us through hard times. We pray and ask "Why me? Why now?". Yet, why does it always have to seem like a bad thing? Every time something happens to someone (including myself), I say that everything happens for a reason. Because of that, everything can have a good side to it. If you failed a test, maybe it's God's way of making you try harder next time.

I'm sure you've heard of the following verse which is taken from Romans 5:3
"...rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance..."
Yea, yea, yea. We know that already.
Well for those of you who haven't, this verse is telling us that the more we suffer the more we can persevere.
For example, lets say you got a new pet dog. Your parents told you that having it is one thing and taking care of it is another thing that you would have to face. At first, it may have been troublesome because you would have to spend some time cleaning it and especially cleaning after it. (if you know what I mean) But after a while, its no biggie. You get used to it and don't really complain. Same with God in our lives. We may face times where we barely have time to study or meet an atheist friend who refuses to convert. Those times are just times we'll have to keep facing and be able to persevere with. We have to do what God wants us to do in those times.

Let me point out another verse from James 1:3
"...the testing of your faith develops perseverance."
Aha! You might think its the same as the other verse but in a way its different. Here it says that the testing of your faith helps you persevere. In that case, we might as well just link suffering and the testing of your faith. Therefore, the Bible is telling us that we suffer because God's trying to test our faith. He wants us to go to him and ask him for help rather than run around complaining like a wild animal. (Maybe you don't do that...but I do...sometimes)

So let's try and go through every hardship God brings us too. Start a habit of not pointing fingers and start taking them on your own. After all, didn't someone once say "If you want to get a job done, you might as well get it done yourself"? Exactly. With God in our lives, we can overcome everything and that's exactly what he wants us to do.

"When you point your finger at someone, three fingers are pointing back at you."

-----Invader05

8/15/08 - Holy Spirit: Is It In You?

 			---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is It In You?

I got the Holy Spirit in me
And I'm not taking it out.
It's giving me great energy
That I wouldn't live without.

It lets me fly above the sky
When I need to recuperate.
I'll help you fly just as high
If only you would cooperate.

It's that exuberant energy
That lefts me walk the Christian walk
It's that amazing ability
That lets me talk the Christian talk.

It helps me keep playing the game
And makes me feel anew
I'll share it if you're not the same
So tell me - Is it in you?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know a lot of times people don't really put much emphasis on the Holy Spirit. That's 'cause we mostly don't even think about the Spirit helping us. It's either God or Jesus that comes to our mind. But weirdly enough, the Holy Spirit was mentioned in the Bible many times and I only realized that in a church youth retreat last week.

So you're probably not gonna just take my word for it. Obviously you want some evidence of where the Spirit is mentioned in the Old Testament. So lets go to the very beginning of the Bible.
"Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." Genesis 1:2 Right here you could see that the Holy Spirit has been on Earth since the very beginning.

Now that you've seen it in the Old Testament, let's check in the New Testament. Let's go to a night no one could forget...
"All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." Acts 2:4. The speaker at my church youth retreat, Prijo, pointed out this verse and said that God didn't only give the Holy Spirit to the disciples but to everyone. As it says in Acts 2:4, all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Both of those verses prove that the Holy Spirit showed up in the Bible to bless people and give them gifts. You can go ahead and search up Spirit in the Bible and you'll find millions of places where the Spirit is mentioned.
But you may still not feel like you have the Holy Spirit in you.
"If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" Luke 11:13
If you want the Holy Spirit, you can get it. Just ask and you will receive. God's willing to give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks for it.

We have to get up and start making a change to others. God's willing to share the Holy Spirit...are you?

"Don't hide what is in you for it was given to you to be used. What good is a sundial in the shade?"

-----Invader05

8/8/08 - To Lie Or Not To Lie

 			---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Now, let me give you a situation."
"*sigh* Our teacher John always starts class confusions this way....."
"Anne Frank comes to your door and asks you if she could stay at your house. What would you do?"
"Take her diary and compare it to the version I have....."
"Would you help her or send her away to someone else?"
"Hm. That's a dumb question. He knows all of us would help her."
"Now, I'm sure all of you would help her and take her inside. So, Nazis come to your door asking for Anne Frank. What would you do? Give her up or not?"
"Definitely not. I will definitely not give her up. They'll just kill her."
"Now, all of you probably came to quick decisions. You want to save Anne Frank so you would bring her in the house but wouldn't give up."
"Of course. This was a dumb situation example. *yawn*"
"I'm sorry but the Bible doesn't tell us to do that."
"Say what?"
"God wants us to follow the Bible, correct? Well the Bible says to help others."
"Exactly....."
"And it also says to not lie"
"Oh....."
"If you told the Nazis that Anne Frank wasn't in your house, you would be lying. Now do you understand? It's not what you would do that matters. It's what would Jesus do."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know, lying has always been a weird thought. Sometimes lying seems like the right thing to do but we got to be reminded that no matter what the lie is, it is a sin.

Sometimes we lie because its the easier thing to do. Telling the truth in a lot of situations can be harder to spill. Plus, its funner to lie. You can play around with what you're lying about. Sometimes its to make a checkpoint to see if things will be safe. We lie to see if the truth would've caused a problem. Whatever the matter may be, its kind of lame to keep lying over lying. Get into the habit of spilling the truth. I don't know about you but it feels good telling the truth. (Except when it comes to parents. They always make it hard on you...*sigh*)

A lot of times we lie because we want things to go our way. We'd lie to our parents to make them think we were doing the right thing. Sometimes we want to control our own paths but we forget who gives us the power to do so. God. It's his way that counts and his way that should be happening.

Just realize that all the answers to what is right is easier to reach than you think. The Bible.
It's wherever you put it. Go on. Read it.

“The truth may hurt for a little while but a lie hurts forever.”

-----Invader05

God Gives Me Strength

God gives me strength.
Strength to overcome all
Strength to stop a fall
Strength to live for tomorrow
Strength to live through sorrow
Strength to learn from another
Strength to teach like a teacher
Strength to demolish evil
Strength to ignore the Devil
Strength to take another breath
And strength to accept death.
God gives me strength.

Is It In You?

I got the Holy Spirit in me
And I'm not taking it out.
It's giving me great energy
That I wouldn't live without.

It lets me fly above the sky
When I need to recuperate.
I'll help you fly just as high
If only you would cooperate.

It's that exuberant energy
That lefts me walk the Christian walk
It's that amazing ability
That lets me talk the Christian talk.

It helps me keep playing the game
And makes me feel anew
I'll share it if you're not the same
So tell me - Is it in you?

7/25/08 - Let's Take A Walk...

Alright. This is just to get an idea of how I will do things on the site.
Basically every Friday a new page will show up. In that page will be some sort of story or maybe a verse or idea displayed and then me breaking it off into the Christian world. I'll try and not give too much and make it as manageable to read as possible.
If you want to give me ideas of what to write on just send me a message and I'll try and do my best. :D

Some of you may know me. Others may not. Either way I hope you enjoy the site and give as much feedback as possible. I've had a blog site on wetpaint before and loved to write on there but it became a bit inactive. Hopefully spreading Christian views will be a better success. Please help make it happen! :D
Enjoy and tell others also.

-----Invader05

Archives

There is no abstract available for this page revision.
